Danny Clarke

I joined the business in 1997! My journey started at Sheffield Cash & Carry and after several years I took on the role of Assistant Manager. The next part of my progression was becoming the Cash & Carry Support Manager which involved rolling out new processes within the stores, organising additional training and just being a general supporting figure to all the managers.

My next chapter was the biggest yet – initially joining the team at Manton on a short term basis to setup the operation. I chose to remain here; it’s infectious!! After all the hard work helping setup the place, I would have found it very difficult to leave – the place and people mean a lot to me. I’m now proud to say I’m currently Senior Operations Manager of the site, working with a fantastic team on a daily basis,

Overall its been a fantastic journey, and also a great example to our people that progression is there for those who want it.
