You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities relating to the import of products and the international transportation of goods.
What will you do as a Supply Chain Coordinator?
Some of the duties will include;
Supporting day to day operations of import and export and maintaining efficiency within the team
Creating import and export instructions for live shipments, ensuring import documentation is accurate and compliant.
Liaising with supply chain stakeholders to ensure timely provision of all information and documentation required for import and export clearances
Liaising with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure the process happens with regards to facilitating import and export shipments
Planning and executing the most efficient ways of transporting goods by sea freight or road freight
Arranging routes, schedules, bookings and collections
Booking cargo space with carriers
The generation of supplier purchase orders and internal transfer requests to fulfil customer orders
This is not an exhaustive list and further duties will be discussed at interview.
What we’re looking for:
Ideally you will have some Supply Chain experience as well as a number of these qualities:
A knowledge of EU and Global import procedures / requirements and understand shipping systems and documentation requirements (incoterms)
Excellent attention to detail and a capable problem solver
Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, being proactive and adaptable
Experience in import, customs, logistics or freight forwarding preferrable
Strong planning and organisational skills
Customer Service / Supply Chain understanding
Salary 30k Full time equivalent (so will be pro rata based on the hours worked)
