When did you start with WoS, What was your job and where did you join from?
I started with the company at Manton Wood in August 2021. I moved into a Shift Manager role here from previously being a Team Manager at a semi-automated car parts warehouse called Bilstein Group.
My first job was to take on the management of warehouse 31 where I solely led the Goods In, Fulfilment and Labelling departments across two shifts. Shortly following this, I was integrated into Wh30/eCom in December 2021 to look at managing shifts across the whole site and implement my previous experiences into all areas.
What is your current job and what does your job entail?
My current job is now eCommerce Operations Manager after being promoted back in October 2023. My role is to run the overall operation of eCom within warehouse 30. This includes reviewing and implementing beneficial practices and procedures for KPI management and target achievements. To gain efficiencies and costing benefits, while overlooking daily workloads and performances to lead teams across four shifts towards a united target for the broader scale of better business costings and continuous improvement, while meeting customer satisfaction.
This also includes the management of the warehouse as a site, alongside my colleagues. Overlooking and dealing with matters of facilities, on-site maintenances and planned contractor work as well as persistently paying attention and implementing focus towards health and safety.
I am responsible for the improvement, performance, development and well-being of around 140 reporting employees through direct management of my Team Leaders and Supervisors, while also supporting responsibilities and management of the other 50+ employees within the opposing warehouse on site.
Despite being Wh30/Ecom Operations manager, we work together as a site to support the overall outcome and reputation of Manton Wood as a whole.
Something that nobody may not know about you? / fact about yourself?
In my younger years from around 8yrs until 16yrs I used to be an Irish Dancer.
Tell us about you outside of work?
My life outside of work is very one-sided… I am surrounded by females! I have been with my wife for nearly 20 years and have 3 gorgeous daughters. I rarely win any debate due to being outnumbered. I like all dads enjoy spending quality time with my family making memories we own a holiday home on Haven to make life that more special. My favourite Holiday destination is Las Vegas
What is your favourite sweet?
Toffifee is a sweet that hold so many memories for me.
