When did you start with WoS, What was your job and where did you join from?
I started working for World of Sweets in August 2019, and previously I was an Area Manager for Booker Cash & Carry stores.

What is your current job and what does your job entail?
My current role is Area Manager for Cash and Carries, covering 5 depots: Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool & Preston. I work closely with my depots daily to help them achieve sales and to make sure they are adhering to our SOPs and SSW. I also help them break down any barrier stopping them doing their jobs. I work closely with Managers and customer to develop customers. I also work closely with Head office teams to give the depot what they need to sell i.e. Marketing for POS and Email comms, Buying with thoughts on products to new listings. Everyday is different.

What part of your role do you enjoy the most?
I like the interaction with different departments and making a difference to the depots and WOS. My team are very close and work extremely well together.

What’s the best thing about working at World of Sweets?
WOS is a team, and you are not just a number!

What would you have done as your dream job if you didn’t work at WOS?
I have always had a fascination with Airports. The pressure and job satisfaction with peak weeks and issues would be very challenging but I feel very rewarding.

Something that nobody may not know about you? / fact about yourself?
In my younger years from around 8yrs until 16yrs I used to be an Irish Dancer.

Tell us about you outside of work?
My life outside of work is very one-sided… I am surrounded by females! I have been with my wife for nearly 20 years and have 3 gorgeous daughters. I rarely win any debate due to being outnumbered. I like all dads enjoy spending quality time with my family making memories we own a holiday home on Haven to make life that more special. My favourite Holiday destination is Las Vegas

What is your favourite sweet?
Toffifee is a sweet that hold so many memories for me.

Have you received any training/development while working at WOS?
Mental Health First aider, IOSH, Forklift.
