Location: Sutton in Ashfield and Worksop

Role:

Whilst leading and developing a small team, this varied role will see you carrying out a number of responsibilities including:

• Manage the day to day activities of the quality function at both Sutton and Manton Wood
• To work to and maintain all aspects of the Quality System
• Continuously improve standards, monitoring hygiene, quality and food safety on a daily basis
• To oversee quality of all products produced within the business
• To carry out full investigations/ root cause analysis into complaints and customer technical issues
• To conduct audits in conjunction with the operations team to drive improvement and monitor GMP in the factory. To support with corrective action where necessary
• Implementation and maintenance of HACCP programmes and pre-requisites
• Carry out supplier visits and audits where required
• To lead on all customer visits and third party audits
• Alerting the Head of Technical and Compliance to emerging issues relating to the business and recommending appropriate actions
• Managing the product recall and withdrawal process to minimise business impact
• Ensure completion of all customer specific documents and information requests
• Coordinating the review of finished product specifications and ensuring compliance against back of pack artwork
• Technical artwork approval for all Sutton packed products

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who has as many of the following skills and attributes as possible:

• Experience of managing QMS to current BRC standards
• Relevant experience in a similar environment with good working knowledge of food manufacturing operating procedures
• Internal Auditing experience and knowledge
• General process and product knowledge
• Knowledge of key legislation relating to the food industry
• Ability to assimilate information to a variety of cultures
